seamless genius

This was a rapid prototype to show local festival organisers the value in having a web based digital hub, rather than an app.

If you go the app route, it’s a greater expense for less flexibility, and onboarding means more clicks. You could also consider the issue of schedule changes being slow to update in an app, unless it’s linked to a dynamic CMS.

It included dynamic loading of map data into the card itself, a favouriting system, and simple logins.

Map loading into the card example

Commonly with WordPress the pages are loaded each time you click on a category link, and this needed to behave more like an app. jQuery was used to load new posts using a custom WordPress database query, and Masonry to sort the cards neatly.

Overall, it was a solid performer with advanced analytics tracking visitor activity for accurate usage reports.
